That's Pete Vuckovich at bat. He was a major league pitcher and my cousin 😁. I got to see him pitch back in the early 80's a few times as a teenager. ⚾️
Pete Vuckovich did an amazing job on this particular role, actually. He fit the role perfectly because being an asshole comes naturally to him. I've met him a few times unfortunately.
Many of you must have watched the behind the scenes stuff..the actors actually did a spring training month to get ready for the film...Charlie was so good because he was a great pitcher in high school...and was considering playing college ball..however he went to some college games and realized he wasn't a good as what he was watching...so he decided to follow his dad into acting..
my college coach (Dan Quisenberry) always said..."the high fast ball is the right pitch to a right handed power hitter...they can't hit it, can't lay off it"...too bad we had no one who could through high 90s heat...LOL
Are we not even gonna talk about that 2 out of 3 were balls that Haywood swung at. Terrible pitches to be swinging at. Speed doesn’t matter when the idiot batter is swinging at garbage
Sheen was actually a pitcher, also the wall scaling scene with Snipes was actually real and Snipes himself. The director and producers all say Snipes was crazy athletic.
Wild Thing... you make my heart sing!!! Dorn... Taylor...Vaughn...Cerreno...Hayes Jerseys on E..Bay!!! Really nice quality thick and all sewn Fair priced
Ich verstehe dieses dumme Spiel nicht. Hab da einmal bei sowas versucht zuzuschauen und es ist hölln langweilig. Südpark trifft diesbezüglich den Nagel einfach auf den Kopf. Auch: dFw k Gf ;_;
I love Taylor’s body language after Vaughn shakes off the curveball sign the second time. He’s thinking to himself “we’re really doing this, aren’t we?”

Well shit! All these pitches to choose from. Maybe we oughta try something different this time. Nope. Same pitch! GOT HIM SWINGING!!!!
I still watch this scene so intensely after all these years.
To high
What do you mean too high?
チャーリー・シーンが本当にメジャーリーガーの投手に思えた。今で言うパワーピッチャー。 その当時で言えばハーシュハイザー、クレメンス、シリングそしてレジェンド ノーラン・ライアン。
This movie made me fall in love with baseball.
i got heat bot is "ez" coach

Great scene, I’m curious tho, do real big league catchers chatter at the batters like that?
I was at that game. Crowd was electric. One of the best games in MLB history.
They’ll always be the Indians to me.
101. Straight Chedd. Sheen's motion actually looks pretty good.
That was great!! Love this film. ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

Clubert Jeroboam Haywood, III

Dottie said the same thing about her kid sister Kip

Man, the Indians should of let Charlie throw out that first pitch.....
He is Fuji??
J'adore se film

I remember when Al Hrabowski came in in relief, threw nine pitches, and shut down the side.
Too bad Jon Moxley had to ruin this song.

no one can hot a 101 mil fast ball
We need more baseball movies…👍🏻
Wild thing threw straight heat😂. Dorn told him strike tyar mf out😂😂😂 and he did
Great !
Do catchers really taunt batters in real baseball? Seems like the ump would shut that down pretty quick?
The talent these guys had, they could have made any kind of baseball movie they wanted and it would have been great
The only thing I don't like is Haywood spitting WHILE taking his warm up swings. A baseball player wouldn't spit on their bat.
3 straight fastballs is a terrible game plan.
Best trash talk ever

And now thanks to "woke" Communist infiltrators and ownership stupidity, they're called what? The "Guardians"? Of what, exactly?
This is a wholsome movie. Shame we do not get them anymore.
Beating the Yankees is always fun, even if it's only a "make believe" win.
I'm sad that I can't buy this hat. What should people who are addicted to the major leagues do from now on?
Charlie Harper on roids!
Indians Indians Indians
Loved this movie.
Awesome im getting there

If Vaughn did that to Crash Davis he would have been made to regret it
Everybody can cheer for a total BADASS!
Let’s go 👈🏿💪🏿💯🌍
Is a heater a pitching machine? Rickie is the heater 🎉
All three of those pitches were out of the strike zone. Probably should have done a few more takes
Ohtani Vs Trout brought me here.
The hitter was a major league pitcher in real life.
